European energy markets heading into Autumn with higher prices

Last week saw some markets register hourly prices above €300/MWh, the highest since December 2022. The increase was driven by higher demand and gas prices, as well as lower renewable energy production in some markets. On the 15th, Brent futures registered the highest price since the first half of November 2022.
