Decarbonising European Gas Networks: Snam, Italy

Snam plans to reduce Scope1 & 2 emissions 25% by 2027 versus 2022, 40% by 2030, carbon neutrality by 2040 and net zero by 2050. It also intends to lower Scope3 emissions 30% by 2030 versus 2022, 35% by 2032 and net zero by 2050. Snam will have targets tested once SBTI clarifies the methodology. It has updated the base year for targets to 2022 to reflect the impact of the reverse in gas flows with lower gas imports from Russia. Source: Carbon Tracker
