You can leave your hat on: gas savings will be key for a safe and secure winter.
Our analysis shows that households could save around 15 bcm of gas through this heating season by consuming gas and energy in a more responsible manner.
This includes turning down the heating by 1°C, adjusting boiler temperatures, take shorter showers and pay attention to electricity consumption.
Those gas savings will be crucial to keep storage levels at adequate levels until the end of the end of heating season -when the gas system is the most vulnerable.
Saving energy is not always fun. but there a raging war next to us, with millions losing their families, homes and lives… so turning down a bit on the heating, should really not be a big thing…
