Electricity prices up in the Iberian market

In the first week of October, prices fell in almost all European electricity markets compared to the previous week. The drop in gas prices and demand supported these declines. The largest decline, 59%, was in the Nordic market where a weekly average of €59.98/MWh was registered. However, in the MIBEL market of Spain and Portugal, prices rose by 29%, influenced by the decline in wind and solar energy production and the recovery of the demand in Spain.
